What’s included: a check of your hair’s condition and density; a plan for how many pieces you need and where they’ll sit — a full head for length, a partial set for volume, or a few single-sided pieces around the face; and a colour match against your own hair in natural daylight at the root, mid-lengths and ends, from the Great Lengths Essenza range including rooted blends. You leave with an exact quote and a booking plan.

How to prepare: come with your hair down, clean and dry, styled the way you usually wear it, and bring a photo or two of the length or fullness you’re after. If you already wear extensions, leave them in so we can see them.

Why it matters: no guesswork. If your hair isn’t ready for extensions yet, we’ll tell you and give you a plan to get it there — we’d rather say so now than after.

Good to know: all installs using salon-supplied Great Lengths hair must be booked with a consultation first, so we can match and order your shades before your fitting.

Longer, fuller hair in a single appointment. Great Lengths Essenza tapes are about 20% smaller and lighter than standard tapes, so they hide easily and move like your own hair. Allow one to two and a half hours, depending on the number of pieces.

What’s included: fitting of your Great Lengths hair, or your own hair if it’s in good condition and safe to apply; cutting and blending so the ends sit seamlessly with yours; a styled finish; and aftercare advice so you know exactly how to look after them at home.

How we do it: a small section of your hair is sandwiched between two slim tapes with a medical-grade, hypoallergenic adhesive. The tapes lie flat, are placed to follow your natural growth pattern and sit clear of your parting and hairline, so nothing shows whether you wear your hair down or in a low style. No heat, no glue bonds.

How to prepare: arrive with clean, dry hair washed with shampoo only — no conditioner, oils or styling product near the roots, so the tapes bond properly. Booking colour as well? We’ll do the colour first so your extensions are matched to the fresh shade.

Why clients love it: the quickest professional extension method to fit, light and comfortable for everyday wear, and the hair is reusable — it’s simply moved up every 6–8 weeks as your own hair grows.

Your regular maintenance appointment, every 6 to 8 weeks. As your hair grows the tapes grow down with it, so we bring them back up to the root and your extensions look freshly fitted again. Allow one to two and a half hours.

What’s included: gentle removal of every tape, fresh tape tabs on the same hair, re-application at the root, a shampoo and blow wave to finish, and a quick health check of both your own hair and the extension hair. Removal and blow wave are part of the package — nothing to book separately.

How we do it: a specialised Great Lengths remover dissolves the adhesive so each tape releases without pulling. The hair is cleaned of any residue, re-taped, then fitted in fresh sections so the weight is spread evenly and your own hair keeps growing out healthy.

How to prepare: come with clean, dry hair, shampoo only, with no conditioner or oils near the tapes. There’s nothing to take out beforehand — it all happens in the one visit. Try not to stretch past 8 weeks, as grown-out tapes can tangle and pull.

Why clients love it: the same Great Lengths hair is reused visit after visit, the result stays consistent, and your natural hair is protected. Wearing extensions from another salon? We’re happy to move those up too — if the hair is in good condition we’ll re-tape it, and if it isn’t we’ll tell you honestly what your options are.

Taking a break from extensions, or ready for a brand-new set? A quick, gentle removal that leaves your own hair clean, intact and ready for whatever comes next. About 15 to 30 minutes, or a little longer with a blow wave.

What’s included: removal of every tape with the Great Lengths remover solution and your hair handed straight back. Add the shampoo and blow wave option when you book and we’ll lift any last trace of adhesive while it’s still fresh, so you walk out styled rather than sorting it at home — most people choose this.

How we do it: the remover dissolves the adhesive so each tape slides out without tugging or force. Done professionally, it leaves no residue and no damage to the hair underneath.

How to prepare: nothing special — come as you are. If you’d like a new set fitted straight after, tell us when you book so we can allow the time.

Good to know: not our extensions? No problem — we remove other salons’ work too.
